Let's drink to that!

We're still in negotiations about which brews to serve this year. But in case you're curious, this is what we dished out last year...

Mean Monkey Hefeweizen: (4.5% ABV, 15 IVU) is a pale, spicy, fruity and refreshing wheat-based ale that features a unique banana and clove yeast character.  It has a phenolic and estery-fruity aroma, due to the yeast strain, that sets it apart from other beers.  Mean Monkey Hefeweizen is very lightly hopped.  Hefe (wheat) weizen (wheat) is the "breakfast beer" of Germany.

Knotty Red Ale: (4.5% ABV, 24 IBU) is a true to form Irish-style Red Ale.  It is Maris Otter malt-focused with an initial sweetness on the palate, toasted caramel notes and a roasted dry finish.

Orange Wheat: (4.6% ABV, 17 IBU) Crisp, tangy, and refreshing. The citrus aroma, light airy mouthfeel, and tangy finish are this unfiltered beer’s trademarks. This is accomplished by adding whole locally grown oranges throughout the brewing process, which perfectly coalesce with the wheat and barley base.

Betty IPA: (6.5% ABV, 68 IBU) Betty is an American IPA boasting a blend of Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe and Centennial hops. We spent 8 months perfecting this hop blend, and we love the huge range of juicy aromas and flavors we were able to hit: tropical fruit, citrus zest, berries, stone fruit and pine are all packed in. She pours a hazy orange-gold with a white frothy head.

Tallulah: (5.6% ABV, 50 IBU) With a refreshingly effervescent carbonation, the tropical New Zealand hop flavors of Tallulah are perfect for the warm days of Spring & Summer. Tallulah pours a radiant honey gold with a fluffy layer of foam and bursts with complex tropical fruit aromas. The candy fruit notes of guava, peach, and passion fruit are complemented by a light caramel sweetness and balanced with a moderate, yet assertive level of hop bitterness.

Metropolis Lager: (5.3% ABV, 47 IBU) Generously dry-hopped with a blend of Mosaic and Saphir hops, Metropolis Lager unites classic German-style brewing and West Coast innovation to create a refreshing yet flavorful lager. Metropolis pours a radiant gold, with tropical fruit aromas and a delicate floral note. Caramel malts lend a subtle sweetness to balance the dry, crisp character of the lager yeast.

Prohibition Ale: (6.1% ABV, 50 IBU) Prohibition Ale is the first beer we bootlegged back in 1997. Anything but traditional and now a GABF winning brew (2013–American Amber/Red Category), Prohibition pours a deep reddish amber hue, with a fluffy tan head that leaves a beautiful lacing on the glass. A lush, complex aroma teases the senses with juicy grapefruit, citrus, pine, spice and candied caramel malts. Mouth-feel is creamy, with a silky, medium body and modest carbonation.

White Hawk Select IPA: (7.0% ABV, 60 IBU)  White Hawk Select IPA is a traditional India Pale Ale. We’ve blended American West Coast Cascade Hops with a very generous dose of English Fuggle Hops. This combination makes for a very aromatic character, as well as a truly authentic English flavor which you must taste to believe. “Hopheads” will love this brew!

Black Hawk Stout: (5.2% ABV, 45 IBU) Black Hawk Stout retains the big traditional flavors of an Irish-style stout and yet offers a refreshing dry crispness that is rare in many dark beers. Black Hawk Stout is replete with a rich, roasted malt flavor that makes this not-so-heavy stout, creamy and ever so smooth. It has a subtlety that surprises and converts even the most reticent stout drinker.

Red Tail Ale: (6.0% ABV, 40 IBU) Red Tail Ale is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

Golden Road Hefeweizen: (5.0% ABV, 15 IBU) Golden Road Hefeweizen is a Bavarian-style wheat beer. It has hints of banana and clove on the nose and palate from the German yeast, a medium body, and a smooth, crisp finish that will leave you thinking about lounging in a sun soaked beer garden. Prost!

329 Days of Sun Lager: (4.8% ABV, 25 IBU) Crafted in the city that gives us 329 days of sun, 329 Lager is the perfect companion for making the most of sunny California days. Our go anywhere, do anything lager is full-flavored and easy-drinking with a clean, crisp finish.

Get Up Offa That Brown: (5.5% ABV, 20 IBU) Our brown ale has a toasty complexity, balanced by rich notes of caramel and chocolate. Ask your bartender to “Get Up Offa That Brown!”

Point the Way IPA: (5.9% ABV, 60 IBU) Point the Way IPA is our ode to the hop-crazed patrons of Los Angeles.  Its light malt body elevates the pine and grapefruit notes courtesy of a generous hop dosing.  At 5.9%, this sessionable West-Coast IPA finishes dry for optimal repeatability.

Go to IPA: (4.5% ABV, 65 IBU) For Stone Go To IPA, we embrace our hop obsession in a new way, funneling an abundance of lupulin-borne bitterness into a "session" IPA that delivers all the fruity, piney character of a much bigger IPA. To accomplish this, we employ "hop bursting," a new technique wherein an irrational amount of hops is added during the final phase of the brewing process to coax out extreme flavors and aromas while also imparting a burst of desirably pleasant bitterness.

Stone Ruination IPA: (8.5% ABV, 100+ IBU) Stone Ruination IPA was the first full-time brewed and bottled West Coast double IPA on the planet. As craft beer has evolved over the years, so too have techniques for maximizing hop flavors and aromas. For the second incarnation of our groundbreaking India pale ale, we employed dry hopping and hop bursting to squeeze every last drop of piney, citrusy, tropical essence from the hops that give this beer its incredible character. We’ve also updated the name to Stone Ruination Double IPA 2.0 to reflect the imperial-level intensity that’s evident in every sip. Join us in cheering this, the second stanza in our “Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop.”

Stone IPA: (6.9% ABV, 77 IBU) By definition, an India pale ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale—and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well-respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy, piney hop flavors and aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.
